A slow drain is annoying. A fully clogged one — or a backed-up main line — can bring your whole Houston home to a stop. Hugo Plumbing clears clogs quickly and, just as importantly, finds out why they happened so they don’t keep coming back.
Drains We Clear
- Kitchen sinks — grease, food, and soap buildup.
- Bathroom sinks, tubs, and showers — hair and soap scum.
- Toilets — repeated clogs that a plunger won’t fix.
- Floor and laundry drains — lint, sediment, and debris.
- Main sewer lines — roots, collapse, and deep blockages affecting the whole house.
How We Do It Right
Snaking a drain clears the immediate blockage, but it doesn’t always solve the root cause. For stubborn or recurring clogs, we use hydro jetting — high-pressure water that scours the full inside of the pipe, removing grease, scale, and tree roots. And when a clog keeps returning, we run a video camera inspection to see exactly what’s going on inside your line, so you’re not paying to guess.
Why Clogs Come Back in Houston
Older Houston neighborhoods often have mature trees whose roots invade sewer lines, plus decades-old cast iron and clay pipes that catch debris. Identifying these underlying issues is the difference between a temporary fix and a real solution — and it’s where our local experience pays off.
Honest, Up-Front Service
We quote the job before we start, explain what we find, and never push repairs you don’t need. If a simple clearing solves it, that’s what you’ll pay for. If there’s a bigger issue in the line, we’ll show you the camera footage and lay out your options. If your drain won’t go, call Hugo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are chemical drain cleaners safe to use?
We don't recommend them. Store-bought chemical cleaners can corrode older Houston pipes, rarely clear the full clog, and can make professional repairs more hazardous. Mechanical clearing and hydro jetting are safer and far more effective.
How do I know if I have a main line clog?
If multiple drains back up at once, you hear gurgling from toilets, or water comes up in a tub when you run the washing machine, the clog is likely in your main sewer line — not a single fixture. That needs a professional with a camera and proper equipment.
